Stuffed Vegetables

Stuffed vegetables are a great dinner option to make and they’re easy, too!
Ingredients:
Your choice of vegetables
1/2 lb Ground beef
1/2 lb Italian sausage
1 small onion (diced)
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1 can tomatoes (small diced, 14.5 oz)
1/2 cup white rice (uncooked)
1 1/4 cups water
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
2 1/2 cups marinara sauce (divided)
1/2 cup cheddar cheese (shredded)
Jerry’s hot sauce to taste

Instructions:
1. Brown meat, onion, and garlic. Add tomato sauce, Jerry’s hot sauce, rice, and seasonings and cook until rice is tender.
2. While the filling is cooking, prepare your vegetables.
*Optional* If using peppers, you can simmer then about 5 minutes to soften or bake them in the oven for 15 minutes. Peppers do not need to be pre-cooked but some prefer it.
3. Fill your vegetables with pasta sauce, meat, and rice mixture.
4. Bake at 350° for about 45 minutes. Cover with foil for the first 30-35 minutes so they do not dry out. Uncover and top with cheese and bake for the remaining 10 minutes or until brown and bubbly.
